Well, we decided it was time that we actually put our whole hearts into this weight loss thing. We've said and said we were going to do it. Now, we are wholeheartedly going to attack this weight loss journey together. We are at a place financially where we can afford gym memberships, healthy food and new clothes!
This blog is going to written by both myself and my husband, Justin. We will each post weekly at least, if not more. Our posts will be about the positives, negatives and roller coaster moments of dieting and exercise.
On our next blog post, we will be weighing in with our starting weight, detailing our goals and also uploading some before pictures. We are going to put everything out there for the world to see in hopes that it will help us keep accountable on our journey. We are also going to be setting goals for ourselves and setting personal rewards for meeting our goals.
We do ask that our family and friends bookmark this page or subscribe if you have a Google account so you can stay updated on our progress. I, personally, will post before pictures and will not be posting ANY whole body pictures of myself until December 31, 2014. You will not see any pictures on Facebook or our blog. I am want to keep the world in suspense on how my body is changing. You will see the weight loss in numbers and numbers only.
We will be measuring our bellies, arms and legs before this journey starts so we have starting points of where to go.
I am beyond excited for this journey. Neither one of us want to overweight for the rest of our lives. With my medical conditions and Justin's as well, we need to get in shape and be healthy, so we can have many years with our children and each other too.
As I said, this blog is going to be intense at times, sad, happy, hilarious, and hopefully most of all, encouraging to other's out there that are struggling with being overweight. I am not going to hide anything from this blog. You will be our accountability partners in this 365 day journey. You will probably see a side of me (the more disgustingly obese part) for the first few months. I am extremely positive about this experience. I have never been more motivated in my life.
I guess I should leave some things for the next blog! Until next time my friends....
This will be a hard journey for both of you but you will see that it will be worth it at the end! Just stay positive, stay focused, don't give up, and know that we are all here supporting you both! :) (We may even be doing it right there along with you!)
